Laguna Hills HS Kicker/Punter Richie Hogan Commits to Central Michigan University!

Outstanding Kicker & Punter Combo, Richie Hogan, #16 of Laguna Hills HS recently commited to Central Michigan University! He will go from being a "Hawk" to a "Chippewa." I had the pleasure to coach Richie this season as the Special Teams Coach at Laguna Hills HS. He is one of the best kickers coming out of High School that I ever worked with. I'm expecting him to do big things in Michigan! Please join me in congratulating Richie on an outstanding career at Laguna Hills HS and wish him much success in college!

2009 Kicking Camps kicking off this coming weekend!

The 2009 Kicking Camp season is officially kicking off next weekend, on May 17th in Austin, Texas! We will "Keep Austin Weird" (a saying in Texas) and have a very special guest instructor- 2008 Arena Football League Kicker of the Year, A.J. Haglund! A.J. and Coach Brent will be on hand to provide personalized kicking AND punting instruction to all the camp students. We're both looking forward to doing it big in Texas. After the camp all students are invited to meet us at Rudy's for a good 'ol Southern BBQ feast and kicker talk!

Kicking World Student Commits to Colorado!

Zach Grossnickle, a Senior Kicker out of Denver East HS (Colorado) has officially commited to Colorado Football! Zach attended my June small group kicking camp this summer and also worked with me for a couple 1 on 1 lessons as he flew out from the Rocky Mountain State to Sunny California for a weekend of brushing up on his 'kicking skills.' While at my camp Zach won the competition for the longest kickoff. I wish Zach and his parents the best of luck in his future as a Colorado Buffalo!

Undefeated (13-0) Laguna Hills HS Wins CIF Championship

This year my team won the CIF Championship which is the biggest thing you can do in California HS Football. We went 13 and 0 and had a tremendous season. As you may know, I am the Special Teams Coach at the HS and work with the kickers/punters and help out with Special Teams schemes.

Our Kicker, Richie Hogan, was honored as 1'st Team All-CIF, 1'st Team All-Conference, and 1'st Team All-Orange County. I'm waiting to find out where he will be going to college. He is being heavily recruited by some top-notch division 1 football programs like Colorado State, Nebraska, Central Michigan, Utah, and some others. I anticipate some bigger football schools making offers very soon! Tune in to find out where he decides to go!
